The Golf Trust"The Golf Trust is a project that aims to grow the participation in golf by showcasing the inclusive nature of golf.
Focusing on the social, physical and mental aspects of life, The Golf Trust aims to bring people together from all areas of life to play golf. With the outreach program of Comgolf, The Golf Trust can reach people who would never play golf and give the the opportunity to progress as players and people, by integrating people with disabilities and able bodied together." |
WHAT CAN YOU DO TO HELP THE GOLF TRUST
GOLF CLUB SECRETARIES To welcome golfers with disabilities to your golf club by making the course available for special events, hopefully with discounted green fees whenever possible. We need more golf clubs to join the project so The Golf Trust can create a pathway from learning in centres, parks and schools to being introduced to the golf club enviroment and to be integrated into the golf club.
GOLF PROFESSIONALS We are looking for golf professionals to work with us by joining us in introducing golf to disabled and able bodied people in centres, parks and schools. Alternatively, to be the first port of call for the people who wish to continue their growth further after The Golf Trust progression sessions at centres, parks and schools. Any old second hand or ex demo clubs which could be spared and donated to our cause would be greatly appreciated.
CLUB GOLFERS We are encouraging golfers to get involved with The Golf Trust through volunteering at events, to be a SNAG coach, to participate in the progression sessions in centres, parks and schools. Also to actively encourage the growth and integration for disabled golfers into the golf club enviroment. As a non profit organisation The Golf Trust would always welcome any sponsorship or monetary donations from individuals or companies wishing to help our cause - but this is not just a financial appeal as we are very keen for people to donate second hand clubs if possible, but the most valuable commodity to donate would be your time by helping at our events and also taking the time to spread the word on our aims and activities.
